The MGR was born in 1989 due to a need of the time, which was electronic data interchange (EDI), between vehicle assemblers and auto parts manufacturers.
At that time, software and network resources were scarce and problematic. The only data network in Brazil was EMBRATEL's RENPAC (State-owned company at the time).
The predominant languages at the time were Cobol and Clipper. There were no Visual and object-oriented programming (OOP) at that time. AND INTERNET? It would be commercially born 5 years later, in mid-1994
Much time has passed since then. The story today is different, many companies develop the VANs service, the INTERNET is consolidated, and we have programming languages that makes easy the production of software are available.
The MGR, attentive to these changes, always put itself ahead of the innovations. Sometimes we pay dearly for the initiative, sometimes we reap with this attitude. We know the mankind evolves faster today than 100 years ago. The MGR will always embrace the news, aiming mainly at the service to its customers.
